Common questions

Answers to what producers and studio managers usually ask before a first conversation: scope, preparation, working methods and how a project runs.

Questions before you get in touch

These answers cover the practical points that come up most often. If yours is not here, the contact page is the quickest way to ask it.

  1. What kinds of studio do you work with?

We work with news studios, interview rooms, panel and talk formats and live show spaces, from a single-camera room to a full gallery. Some clients are established broadcasters and others are independent teams building their first live setup. The brief matters more than the size of the space.

  2. Can you work on a studio that is already running?

Yes. Many projects involve upgrading or reorganising a studio that must keep broadcasting. We stage the work around your transmission schedule, plan temporary routing where needed and agree any unavoidable downtime in writing beforehand, so your crew knows what to expect.

  3. Do you supply the equipment or only design the layout?

We specify equipment, install it and wire it so the gallery works as one system. We choose what suits your formats and budget rather than favouring particular makes. If you prefer to buy hardware yourselves, we can work from your own purchase list.

  4. What do you need from us before a first visit?

A short description of the room, what you broadcast, how many people are on air and how many crew run it. Photographs and a rough floor plan help a great deal. Existing equipment lists are useful but not essential at this stage.

  5. How do you decide what acoustic treatment a room needs?

Priya surveys the room first, measuring how sound behaves and listening for echo, flutter and noise from outside or from building services. Treatment is then proposed only where the measurements and listening show a problem, so you are not paying for panels that add nothing.

  6. Can you train our crew to run the studio themselves?

Training is part of our work. We hold practical sessions in your studio, on your equipment, covering camera operation, gallery routines, talkback and rehearsal. The aim is a crew that can handle a normal live day without outside help.

  7. Do you provide support on the day of a live broadcast?

We can attend on live days to support your crew, covering the gallery, cameras or audio as agreed. What we cover is set out in writing beforehand, so everyone knows who is responsible for each part of the programme.

  8. How are projects priced and confirmed?

Prices are listed on the prices page. After an enquiry through the contact page, we send a written quotation or confirmation, then an invoice paid by bank transfer. Cancellations and refunds follow the payment and refund policy.
